N-Gene is a privately held
biopharmaceutical company engaged in the research and
development of small molecules targeting insulin resistance,
type II diabetes, other metabolic diseases, GI motility
disorders. All of the Company's technologies were discovered
and developed by N-Gene researchers. N-Gene’s strong
relationships with universities, consultants and contract
research organizations enable the Company to pursue multiple
research and clinical developments simultaneously.
History
N-Gene was founded in 1997 by Hungarian
researchers and management. It started to develop a
proprietary technology platform, initially to prevent or
treat chemotherapy induced toxicities in oncology
treatments. Breakthrough in the understanding of mechanism
of action of its lead molecule prompted to change
development directions into metabolic disease area.
